Sat Nov 09 14:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Bayern München eyeing RB Leipzig striker Sesko as potential Kane successor

**Munich, Germany** – FC Bayern Munich could be set to make a move for RB Leipzig’s highly-rated striker Benjamin Sesko in the near future. According to Bild reporter Tobias Altschäffl, the German giants are eyeing the 21-year-old Slovenian as a potential replacement for Harry Kane, who joined the club in 2023.

While Altschäffl admitted that this is speculation based on his own intuition and some information, he revealed that Bayern had already expressed interest in Sesko back in 2022, before Kane’s arrival.

Sesko, who joined RB Leipzig from sister club Red Bull Salzburg for €24 million in 2022, has quickly established himself as one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents. He has scored 25 goals and provided 5 assists in 56 appearances for Leipzig, boosting his market value to around €50 million.

Despite a €65 million release clause in his contract expiring last summer, Sesko opted to extend his deal with Leipzig until 2029. However, reports suggest there is a gentlemen’s agreement in place that would allow him to move to a top club if a suitable offer arrives.

Besides Bayern, Manchester United are also reportedly keen on signing Sesko. However, the Red Devils, currently in a period of transition, are not expected to make a serious bid for a top striker until the summer of 2025 at the earliest.

If Bayern do indeed make a move for Sesko, it would be a statement of intent from the German champions, who are looking to continue their dominance in the Bundesliga and beyond.
