**Hyderabad, November 14th:** The Telangana State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Sudarshan Reddy, has announced that the deadline for new voter registration and modifications to the voter list has been extended to November 28th.
This extension comes as part of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) – 2025. The CEO held a meeting with representatives of various political parties at the Election Office in BRK Bhavan to discuss the revision process.
Sudarshan Reddy informed the parties that the draft voter list was published on October 29th. He also highlighted that a special voter registration drive will be conducted on November 9th and 10th. The final SSR-2025 voter list will be released on January 6th, 2025.
During the meeting, political party leaders provided feedback and suggestions for the electoral process. Discussions also included the compilation of the new voter list for the upcoming MLC elections.
Representatives from BJP, Congress, TRS, TDP, AAP, BSP, CPI(M), and AIMIM participated in the meeting.
Former DSP Gangadhar submitted a request to the CEO, highlighting that many eligible voters might have missed registering for the MLC elections due to factors like examinations, preparations, and festival holidays. The CEO informed Gangadhar that a window for new voter registration for graduates will be open from November 23rd to December 9th.
