**New Delhi:** The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has firmly stated that the Indian team will not participate in any matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 if they are held in Pakistan.
The 9th edition of the tournament is scheduled to begin in February 2025, with the final taking place on March 9th. The tournament features eight teams, including India and Pakistan, competing in a one-day format.
BCCI sources have confirmed that the board has reiterated its stance on not playing matches in Pakistan. “We have previously expressed our unwillingness to play matches in Pakistan. We are keen on holding India-Pakistan matches at a neutral venue, with Dubai being a possible location,” the sources stated.
This decision comes as no surprise, given the strained political relations between the two nations.
