**Dehradun, Uttarakhand:** A Vande Bharat Express train travelling from Dehradun to Lucknow was targeted by vandals on Thursday, resulting in damage to one of its windows. The incident occurred near Kharanja Qutubpur village on the Laksar-Moradabad railway section, sparking panic among passengers.

Police confirmed that stones were thrown at the train (number 22546), causing a large crack in a window of the C-6 coach. The loco pilot immediately alerted the control room in Moradabad, who informed the Railway Police Force (RPF).

Swift action was taken, with an RPF team apprehending 22-year-old Salman after conducting investigations in the village. RPF Inspector Ravi Kumar Siwach stated that a case has been filed against Salman under the Railway Act.

Northern Railways Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay assured that the incident was addressed promptly. The accused was swiftly apprehended, and a case has been registered against him.
