**COIMBATORE, November 8, 2024:** Two young men who traveled to Coimbatore for an army recruitment rally have been arrested for assaulting a hotel manager. G. Baskar (19) and D. Bharath (20), residents of Bargur in Krishnagiri district, checked into a hotel in Peelamedu on Wednesday. After consuming alcohol worth ₹5,798 at the hotel bar, they attempted to pay using a payment app. However, the amount was not credited to the hotel’s account. When the manager informed them of the issue, the duo became aggressive and assaulted him. The police apprehended the accused on Thursday night based on a complaint filed by the hotel manager. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
