Thu Nov 07 18:57:27 UTC 2024: ## PMK Predicts Coalition Government in Tamil Nadu After 2026 Assembly Elections

**Ranipet, November 8, 2024:** PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss has predicted a coalition government in Tamil Nadu following the 2026 Assembly elections. He believes the upcoming election will break the “monopoly” of the DMK and AIADMK, paving the way for other parties with significant vote shares to play a crucial role in government formation.

Addressing the media, Mr. Ramadoss further asserted that a caste Census would have weakened the DMK’s bargaining power for a larger number of Assembly seats. He attributed Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s attempt to shift the responsibility of conducting the Census to the Centre to this reason.

Mr. Ramadoss also criticized the DMK government for fulfilling only 10% of its election promises since coming to power in May 2021. He highlighted the lack of progress on issues like exemption from NEET and the repeated increase in electricity charges.

Later in the day, Mr. Ramadoss addressed a public meeting at the Muthukadai bus terminus near Ranipet town.
