Fri Nov 08 12:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Former Trump Ally Warns Running Mate Vance: “I See a Brutal Train Crash Unfolding”
Anthony Scaramucci, a former White House communications director under President Trump who has since become a vocal critic, is issuing a stark warning to the former president’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance.
Scaramucci, who is now backing Vice President Kamala Harris, believes Vance is making a “brutal” mistake by supporting Trump. In an interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, he stated that he sees “a more clever version of me” in Vance, suggesting a similar trajectory of disillusionment.
Scaramucci, who describes himself as a “Wall Street bro,” says that his work with a life coach has given him insight into Trump and his allies, including Vance, who once questioned if Trump was “America’s Hitler.” Scaramucci claims that Trump is incapable of genuine friendship and that his allies are merely “objects in his field of vision” engaged in transactions.
He also expresses doubt that Trump’s allies believe he is a good person, saying, “The answer is obviously no. It’s, ‘I’m going to hold my nose and I’m going to support him because it’s better for me.'”
Vance, who is in his first term in the Senate, has defended his shift in opinion on Trump, stating that he regretted his earlier criticism and was wrong. However, his recent polling suggests that his support is waning, with 47.1% of voters holding an unfavorable view compared to 42.5% holding a favorable view.
Scaramucci, often referred to as “The Mooch,” famously lasted only 11 days in his White House role before being fired after an explosive phone call with a reporter. He now co-hosts the popular podcast “The Rest Is Politics: US.”
Trump has downplayed his former relationship with Scaramucci, claiming in a 2019 tweet that “he knows very little about me.” Trump’s campaign team has dismissed Scaramucci’s criticisms, labeling him as “someone who barely lasted more time than an expired ham sandwich as White House communications director.”
