Starbucks’ highly anticipated holiday menu and cups launch on Thursday was marred by a temporary glitch in the company’s app. While the outage affected the order ahead and pay feature, customers could still place orders in-store or via the drive-thru. The app functionality was restored shortly after the issue was reported.
On a positive note, the coffee giant also announced the elimination of additional charges for non-dairy milk substitutions, including soy, oat, almond, and coconut. This change, requested by a large number of Starbucks customers, applies to all handcrafted beverages.
The new holiday menu, cups, and non-dairy milk policy are available at all company-owned Starbucks locations in the United States and Canada.
