**Durban, South Africa:** India started their tour of South Africa with a bang, defeating the hosts by a comfortable margin in the first T20I match played at Kingsmead, Durban on Friday.
The Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, opted to bat first after winning the toss. The decision proved to be a masterstroke as opener Sanju Samson smashed a brilliant half-century (77*) to propel India to a formidable total.
Samson, known for his aggressive approach, blitzed the South African bowlers with a barrage of sixes and fours. He reached his fifty in just 27 balls, showcasing his power hitting and timing.
While Samson was in a class of his own, Tilak Verma (14*) provided valuable support, ensuring India finished on a strong note.
