In a conversation with Trump, Biden extended an invitation to the President-elect for a meeting at the White House. The Trump campaign expressed appreciation for the call and said the former President looked forward to the meeting.

Harris conceded the race Wednesday afternoon, stressing the importance of accepting election results. “A fundamental principle of American democracy is that when we lose an election, we accept the results,” she said. The Vice President, who joined the campaign in late July, declared that while she concedes the election, “I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign.”
