**Hyderabad:** The application process for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) finally began on Thursday night around 11 pm, after a delay caused by technical issues. The School Education Department had initially announced the application window to open on the 5th of this month.
Applicants eagerly awaited the opening of the online application link after the department announced it would be available from the 7th. The link, along with the information bulletin, was finally uploaded to the website around 10 pm on Thursday.
The TET exam fee has been reduced this time. The fee for one paper was previously ₹1000, while it was ₹2000 for two papers. It has now been reduced to ₹750 and ₹1000 respectively. Candidates who wrote the TET exam in May and either failed to qualify or wish to improve their scores, will not have to pay any fee to retake the exam.
The School Education Department announced that the TET results will be announced on February 5th.
