**Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh:** The annual Chhath Puja celebrations are attracting large crowds to Ramjanaki Ghat in Kaptaanganj, Kushinagar this year. The main draw is a magnificent pandal and sculptures of Lord Surya and Chhath Maiya, designed and built by the Ambe Seva Samiti.
The pandal, which cost over ₹4.5 lakh, features a breathtaking display of Hindu deities. It includes an impressive statue of Lord Surya riding a chariot, along with Chhath Maiya, Lord Narayan and Goddess Lakshmi. The entrance is adorned with statues of Lord Shiva, Parvati, and Ganesha, further enhancing the spiritual atmosphere.
The pandal also showcases statues of Lord Ram and Hanuman, reminiscent of the grand temple in Ayodhya. This unique blend of religious figures is captivating visitors.
The Ambe Seva Samiti has taken special care to ensure the safety of the thousands of devotees who flock to the ghat. Volunteers and CCTV cameras are deployed to provide security and manage the crowds.
The pandal also includes a poignant message of respect for women. Sculptures and slogans highlight the importance of honoring daughters and sisters.
