**New Delhi:** Skoda Auto India has launched its latest SUV, the Kylaq, in the Indian market. This marks the company’s entry into the sub-4-meter SUV segment, breaking the price barrier with an starting price of just Rs 7.89 lakh. The Kylaq is the most affordable SUV from Skoda and is available in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. Each trim level comes with its own set of features.
The Kylaq is currently offered with a single engine option, a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 115 hp. While a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission is available, the mid-spec Signature variant will only come with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Skoda claims the Kylaq can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 10.5 seconds.
Detailed fuel efficiency figures and specifications for each variant are not yet available but will be revealed in upcoming reviews. The Kylaq will compete with popular models like the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.
