**Vijayawada, November 5, 2024:** The Andhra Pradesh government has announced plans to establish special courts dedicated to serving Non-Resident Telugus (NRTs). These courts will handle cases related to property, civil matters, marital disputes, and other issues faced by Telugu Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).
The decision was made at the fourth governing body meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu (APNRT) Society, held under the leadership of newly appointed Chairman Kondapalli Srinivas.
The meeting also proposed the establishment of district-level special cells to address NRT issues. Additionally, construction of the proposed NRT Icon Tower building in the capital region of Amaravati will commence, aiming for completion within two years.
The participants unanimously agreed to introduce new services tailored to the specific needs of NRTs. This move aims to provide a more accessible and efficient judicial system for Telugu NRIs, addressing their unique concerns and facilitating their engagement with the state government.
