**NEW DELHI:** The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will be hosting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025, with the eligibility criteria for both Indian and foreign nationals now available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.
**Key Changes:**
* **Increased Attempts:** JEE Advanced can now be attempted a maximum of **three times** in three consecutive years, a significant increase from the previous limit of two attempts.
* **Eligibility Remains Largely Unchanged:** All other eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2025 remain unchanged.
**Eligibility Requirements:**
* **JEE Main Performance:** Candidates must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (across all categories) in JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 for BE/BTech programs. The distribution of these top candidates will be based on category.
* **Age Limit:** Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. SC, ST, and PwD candidates have a relaxed age limit, with a birth date of October 1, 1995, as the cut-off.
* **Class 12 Appearance:** Candidates must have appeared or be appearing in their Class 12 board exams.
* **Previous IIT Admissions:** If a candidate has already been admitted to an IIT, they will not be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced.

* The IIT Kanpur will soon release the official JEE Advanced 2025 Information Bulletin on the website, providing details regarding exam dates, registration process, application fees, exam pattern, syllabus, marking scheme, and more.
* Students who qualify for JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025.
**Note:** The NTA (National Testing Agency) registration process for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 will close on November 22.
