Wed Nov 06 08:38:18 UTC 2024: ## JEE Advanced 2025: Three Attempts Allowed, IIT Kanpur Takes Charge

**New Delhi:** In a significant update for aspiring engineers, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 will now allow students three attempts to crack the exam. Previously, students were only allowed two attempts.

The responsibility for conducting JEE Advanced 2025 has been entrusted to IIT Kanpur, as per the rotational system where different IITs take charge every six years. The official website for the exam, jeeadv.ac.in, was launched on Tuesday.

IIT Kanpur previously held the responsibility in 2018. Other institutions that have conducted JEE Advanced in the past include IIT Delhi, Bombay, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee.

**Eligibility:** Candidates securing a rank within the top 2.50 lakh in JEE Mains are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The exam offers reservation for various categories, including 10% for EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, and 7.5% for ST. The remaining 40.5% seats are allocated to the open category.

**Age Limit:** The minimum age requirement for JEE Advanced 2025 is set at students born on or after 1st October 2000. However, SC/ST and PwD candidates are eligible if they were born on or after 1st October 1995.

With the introduction of three attempts, aspiring engineers now have more opportunities to secure a seat in their desired IIT.
