**Dallas, TX** – A Dallas singer, Jada Arnell Thomas, was shot onstage during an autograph signing following a performance with The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL) on Saturday night.
According to witnesses, a woman in the crowd, later identified as Micah Williams, 26, fired a handgun at Thomas. The 26-year-old singer was transported to a local hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. Williams was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is currently in custody at the Dallas County Jail.
