**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia:** The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Tuesday. This marks the second consecutive year that the auction is being held overseas, following last year’s event in Dubai.

A total of 1,574 players, including 1,165 Indians and 409 overseas, have registered for the auction, which will clash with the third and fourth days of the first Test between India and Australia in Perth.

Each franchise will be able to assemble a squad of up to 25 players, with a total of 204 slots available at the auction. The list of players includes 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 players from Associate Nations. This year’s auction features several high-profile Indian stars, such as Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Arshdeep Singh.

The 10 franchises have a collective purse of ₹641.5 crore to spend on the available slots, with 70 slots reserved for overseas players. Currently, 46 players have been retained by the franchises, with a total expenditure of ₹558.5 crore. Each franchise was initially allocated ₹120 crore, but after the retention process, Punjab Kings have the largest remaining purse at ₹110.5 crore, while Rajasthan Royals have the smallest purse at ₹41 crore.
