Tue Nov 05 19:38:19 UTC 2024: ## Union Minister Accuses Congress of Empty Promises in Telangana and Maharashtra
**Rajanna Sircilla, November 6, 2024:** Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress, accusing the party of misleading voters in Telangana and Karnataka with unfulfilled promises, and attempting to lure voters in poll-bound Maharashtra with false advertisements.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating various development projects in Rudrangi village of Rajanna Sircilla district, Kumar specifically targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of failing to deliver on six guarantees promised during the Telangana elections. “Does he have the courage to address these promises or even conduct a padayatra in Telangana?” Kumar challenged Gandhi.
Kumar further alleged that the Telangana Congress is misleading voters in Maharashtra by claiming to have implemented the six guarantees and waived farm loans in Telangana, despite the lack of evidence. He claimed that the Congress is misusing Telangana’s funds to influence the Maharashtra elections.
Regarding the upcoming ‘Musi River Padayatra’ by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Kumar expressed his disappointment with the river’s pollution, stating that the people of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district are struggling for even drinking water due to the toxic water. While acknowledging the BJP’s long-standing demand for cleaning the Musi River, Kumar accused the Congress of using the project as a cover to increase its budget and earn commissions, warning that the Congress plan would lead to the demolition of poor people’s homes.
