Tue Nov 05 20:34:08 UTC 2024: ## AP TET Results Released: Passing Percentage Drops Significantly

**Amaravati, November 5:** The results of the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) for July 2024 were announced on Monday, November 4th, by Minister Nara Lokesh. This year, however, the passing percentage has dropped significantly compared to the February 2024 exam, raising concerns among aspiring teachers.

The increased difficulty level of the exam papers is attributed to the decline in the number of successful candidates. Out of a total of 3,68,661 candidates who appeared for the exam (86.28%), only 1,87,256 cleared it, resulting in a passing percentage of 50.79%.

The highest passing percentage was recorded in Paper 2 (A) for School Assistant in Special Schools, with 87.09% clearing the exam. Paper 1 (A) for SGT Telugu & Minor Media saw the second highest passing percentage at 65.48%. All other papers saw passing percentages below 40%.

The difficulty of the AP TET has sparked concerns among aspiring teachers, who now worry about the upcoming DSC (District Selection Committee) exam.

The AP TET was conducted over 17 days from October 3rd to 21st across various exam centers in the state. Around 4,27,300 candidates applied for the exam. Candidates can access their results through the official website.

The announcement for the mega DSC, with 16,347 posts, is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6th.
