**Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh:** Krishna District In-charge Minister Vasamshetty Subhash has launched a scathing attack on the YSR Congress Party (YCP) leadership, alleging intimidation tactics by the opposition party even after their resounding defeat in the recent elections.
Subhash claimed that YCP leaders were still “roaring” despite their loss, forcing him to feel apprehensive about visiting the district. He attributed the NDA alliance’s victory to their unity, stating that they would continue to work collaboratively.
He criticized YCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership, citing the party’s disarray in East Godavari District and citing Jagan’s failure to even acknowledge the former minister Viswaroop’s son, Srikanth, who is accused in a murder case.
Subhash accused Jagan of neglecting his party workers, preferring to remain isolated within his palace. He further mocked Jagan’s mental state, speculating about his upcoming trip to London for medical treatment.
In response, Viswaroop countered these allegations, claiming that the NDA government was engaged in “diversionary politics” and was targeting his son for political revenge. He claimed Srikanth had no connection with the murder case and that the deceased was a YCP worker.
Viswaroop expressed outrage at the false case against his son, maintaining that Srikanth’s name was not even mentioned in the FIR.
The incident has sparked further tensions between the NDA and YCP, highlighting the ongoing political rivalry in the state.
