**Bengaluru, November 5, 2024:** A tragic incident unfolded in Bengaluru’s Iggalur area on Monday, where a one-month-old baby was found dead in the overhead tank of the family’s house. The baby, who was born prematurely and had respiratory issues, had been discharged from the hospital a week prior.
According to the police, the baby’s mother, Archana, discovered the child missing after going to the washroom. After an extensive search involving neighbours and the Surya City police, the baby’s body was found in the overhead tank two hours later.
Police have registered a murder case and are reviewing CCTV footage from the neighbourhood to identify potential suspects.
Archana was living with her parents at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
