Mon Nov 04 23:49:29 UTC 2024: ## Fallon’s Holiday Spirit: “Holiday Seasoning” Features Star-Studded Cast, “Weird Al” and the Roots

**NEW YORK** – Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon is releasing his third holiday album, “Holiday Seasoning,” on November 1st, featuring a star-studded cast of collaborators and a mix of original comedy tunes and holiday classics.

Fallon, who has been obsessed with comedy and music since childhood, draws inspiration from his love of Dr. Demento and his time on Saturday Night Live. “Those novelty records inspired me to write comedy songs,” he says. “I don’t know when the last time someone wrote a comedy holiday album, but either way it’s overdue.”

The album features a range of musical styles, from soul-rap with the Roots on “Hey Rudy” to a New Year’s polka with “Weird Al” Yankovic. Justin Timberlake joins Fallon for a reggae pop track, while Cara Delevingne adds a mysterious touch to “Hallmark Movie.” The album also includes last year’s hit duet with Meghan Trainor, “Wrap Me Up.”

Fallon credits his collaborations for elevating his scratchy phone demos into full-fledged songs, even sharing a noisy clip of a demo he sent the Jonas Brothers during a Zoom call. “They’re like, we love it. Let’s play,” he says of their response to the eventual “Holiday” track.

The album features a deep personal touch, with Fallon reminiscing about his childhood holiday traditions, including listening to the Ronettes, Darlene Love, and Johnny Mathis with his family. “It just meant everything,” he says of those memories.

Fallon also highlights the special collaboration with “Weird Al” Yankovic, who helped create the “New Year’s Eve Polka (5-4-3-2-1).” “That I got a chance to work with ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic on this album means so much to me,” he says. “I was trying to hit all holidays… so I wanted to write a song for New Year’s Eve that wasn’t depressing.”

The album also features a duet with Dolly Parton on “Almost Too Early For Christmas,” an experience Fallon describes as “monumental.” Parton even coached him through the song, helping him hit the high notes.

“If I could become part of anyone’s memory for their holiday and make anyone have a better year or a better time, then that’s all worth it for me,” says Fallon. “Holiday Seasoning” is sure to bring laughter, joy, and a touch of nostalgia to listeners this holiday season.
