**Vijayawada, November 5, 2024** – Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) President and Vijayawada MP, Kesineni Sivanath, has announced plans to establish a “Centre for Excellence” at the Mulapadu cricket stadium in NTR district. The ambitious project will include a cricket academy and a golf course, providing a comprehensive training facility for aspiring cricketers and boosting the region’s economy.

Mr. Sivanath, who inspected the stadium grounds and facilities, revealed that the ACA is finalizing designs for the Centre and academy. He stated that similar facilities will be established across all constituencies within the next four years, fostering a culture of cricket throughout the state.

The ACA is also working to expedite construction on the Mulapadu and Mangalagiri stadiums, aiming to make them accessible to the public within a year. The road network leading to the Mulapadu stadium will also be upgraded, enhancing its accessibility.

Mr. Sivanath highlighted the economic benefits of the golf course, which is projected to create employment opportunities for 400 people in the Mulapadu area.

The ACA has outlined a comprehensive plan to develop cricket grounds in all 175 Assembly constituencies, ensuring adequate infrastructure for aspiring players. The goal is to increase the number of ACA players selected for the Indian Premier League (IPL) and even the Indian national cricket team.

Mr. Sivanath concluded his visit by providing suggestions to the stadium staff on further improving amenities and fostering a world-class sporting facility.
