**Kolkata, India:** The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is set to release the admit cards for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 on November 5th. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
The CAT 2024 exam, which serves as the gateway to India’s top business schools, is scheduled for November 24th. The results are expected to be declared in the second week of January.
To be eligible for the CAT exam, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent CGPA. This requirement is reduced to 45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
The CAT 2024 exam will be conducted in three sections, with a total duration of 120 minutes. Candidates will be allotted 40 minutes for each section, and switching between sections will not be permitted.
After clearing the CAT exam, aspiring candidates will be required to undergo further selection rounds for admission into various IIMs. The specific admission policies for each IIM can be found on their respective official websites.
The CAT exam is also used by several non-IIM institutes for admission into their postgraduate and fellowship/doctorate-level Business courses.
