**Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu (November 5, 2024)** – The Tamil Nadu government, through the Directorate of Tribal Welfare, has launched a state-wide skill development program aimed at empowering tribal youth and improving their employment opportunities.

The program, which will be held at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology in Sathyamangalam on November 8th, targets unemployed individuals aged 18 to 35 from tribal communities with educational qualifications ranging from SSLC to diploma.

Participants will undergo two to three months of intensive training, focusing on skills in high-demand sectors. Upon completion, they will receive assistance in finding employment through partnerships with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC). The program will prioritize placement in major cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, and Erode.

The Directorate of Tribal Welfare has enlisted the help of S.C. Natraj, Director of SUDAR (Service Unit for Development Activities in Rural) to mobilize tribal youth from nearby hill areas like Bargur, Kadambur, and Talavadi.

This initiative is expected to have a significant impact on the lives of tribal youth, providing them with the necessary skills and support to secure meaningful employment and improve their overall well-being.
