Tue Nov 05 10:43:32 UTC 2024: ## Scorchers and Heat Clash at the WACA in WBBL|10 Bounce Back Battle
Perth, Western Australia – The Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat will lock horns at the WACA Ground on Tuesday, November 5th, in a crucial WBBL|10 clash. Both teams are seeking to rebound from recent losses and secure valuable points in the tight competition for a coveted finals spot.
The Scorchers, despite a strong start to the tournament, have stumbled in their last two outings. Their opening pair, Beth Mooney and Sophie Devine, will be eager to post a significant partnership after falling short against the Melbourne Renegades. Devine, in particular, will be looking to replicate her century against the Heat last season.
Meanwhile, the Heat are coming off a defeat against the Hurricanes but will be buoyed by the impressive form of Grace Harris, who smashed 75 runs in the previous match. Harris has a history of performing well against the Scorchers, including a viral bat moment in WBBL|09. New recruit Jemimah Rodrigues also showed her class with a fluent 45 against the Hurricanes.
The Heat have a strong record at the WACA, winning three out of five previous encounters. A victory would further solidify their position in the top four and keep them in contention for a finals berth.
The Scorchers, on the other hand, have two games in hand and are within striking distance of the top four. A win over the Heat would provide much-needed momentum as they face a busy schedule with three games in the next five days.
The match is set to begin at 5.10 pm local time (8.10 pm AEDT) and will be broadcast live on Fox Cricket and Kayo Sports.
