**Patna, November 4, 2024:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for a new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga, Bihar on November 13th. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also be present at the event.
The state government has acquired 188 acres of land near the bypass in Darbhanga for the project. Construction of the AIIMS is expected to be completed within three years. This will be the second AIIMS in Bihar, with the first one already operating in Patna.
The new AIIMS in Darbhanga is expected to provide high-quality medical care to the people of the region and strengthen the state’s healthcare infrastructure.
