**Jamui, Bihar:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address a public rally in Jamui’s Khaira block on November 15th, marking the 150th birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda. The event is scheduled to take place at the Ballowpur riverbank, which is currently undergoing preparations.
A central team from Delhi recently inspected the site and gave instructions to the district administration, led by District Magistrate Abhilasha Sharma and SP Chandraprakash.
While the district administration has not officially confirmed the information, BJP sources have revealed that preparations are underway, including the construction of a helipad near the Ballowpur riverbank and the leveling of the ground using JCB machines.
BJP district president, Kanhaiya Singh, confirmed the information, stating that the preparations for the PM’s visit are ongoing. However, he added that the information is currently verbal and no official communication has been received from the PMO.
Sources suggest that apart from PM Modi, the event will be attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, and Governor Rajendra Arlekar, among other dignitaries.
Some speculate that the event is strategically timed to coincide with the Jharkhand Assembly elections, scheduled for November 13th and 20th. With the campaigning period ending on November 13th, PM Modi’s rally in Jamui, bordering Jharkhand, could serve as a platform to address the electorate in both states.
This event is also seen as a precursor to the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, with Jamui potentially becoming a key location for the campaign.
