Mon Nov 04 07:01:52 UTC 2024: ## KTM Unveils Two Adventure Bikes at EICMA 2024: 390 Adventure R & X

KTM is set to release a new range of 390 Adventure motorcycles at the upcoming EICMA 2024 motorcycle show. The range will consist of two distinct models: the off-road focused 390 Adventure R and the road-biased 390 Adventure X.

**The 390 Adventure R** is built for tackling rough terrain, boasting a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup with spoked wheels. It also features adjustable suspension with 230mm of travel, a tall 885mm seat height, and cornering ABS and traction control (which can be switched off). The Adventure R will be powered by the same 399cc single-cylinder engine as the KTM 390 Duke, producing 43.5bhp and 39Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a quick-shifter. Design-wise, the Adventure R features vertically stacked headlights, a tall windscreen, high mudguard, and a commanding stance.

**The 390 Adventure X** is designed for more tarmac-focused riding. It features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup, non-adjustable suspension with 200mm travel, and a lower seat height of 825mm. While it shares the same chassis, engine, and body panels as the Adventure R, the Adventure X features a less sophisticated LCD instrument panel instead of a TFT screen and does not offer cornering ABS. However, it is expected to retain smartphone/Bluetooth connectivity.

**When launched in India**, the KTM 390 ADV range will compete directly with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, particularly the 390 ADV X.
