His replacement, Formula 2 driver Ollie Bearman, will continue to drive for the team, having already impressed in Sprint Qualifying where he secured a P10 starting position for the Sprint.
This marks Bearman’s third substitute appearance in Formula 1 this season, having previously driven for Ferrari and Haas. He is set to make his full-time debut in the series with Haas next year.
Meanwhile, George Russell expressed his frustration after leading the initial stages of the Sao Paulo Grand Prix before losing out due to red flags. He commented, “I was pretty angry.”
