Mon Nov 04 17:45:00 UTC 2024: ## Baba Bageshwar Calls for Hindu Unity, Warns Against Conversions in Assam
**Guwahati, Assam:** Pandit Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, also known as Acharya Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, visited the Kamakhya Temple in Assam today, urging unity among Hindus. “If we stand together, we will thrive,” he proclaimed, hinting at a return for the Ambubachi Mela next year.
Shastri expressed gratitude to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his support of Sanatan Dharma, calling him a “brother” in their shared mission. “The Chief Minister has shown unwavering commitment in raising awareness about and protecting Sanatan Dharma in Assam,” he said.
The spiritual leader further announced plans for a state-wide padyatra to promote Sanatan Dharma, addressing concerns about missionary conversions and demographic changes. He emphasized the importance of educating Hindu children in the Gita and Ramayana, warning that lack of knowledge leaves them susceptible to external influences.
“This is not the India of 1947, but of 2024,” Shastri warned, adding that those who oppose Sanatan Dharma will face consequences.
