**Mumbai, November 4, 2024:** The much-anticipated teaser for “Baby John,” starring Varun Dhawan, has been released online after playing in theatres over the Diwali weekend. The film, a remake of the Tamil action thriller “Theri” (2016), is directed by Kalees and backed by Atlee.

Dhawan plays an ex-cop forced into hiding to protect his daughter. He takes on a new identity, “Baby John,” and a fresh look. Keerthy Suresh plays Dhawan’s wife, while Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and Jackie Shroff complete the cast. Shroff is the antagonist in the film.

The action-packed teaser showcases Dhawan’s transformation and the film’s high-octane sequences, all hallmarks of Atlee’s signature style. Atlee, who made his Hindi directorial debut with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Jawan” in 2023, has co-produced “Baby John” with his wife, Priya Atlee, under their banner A for Apple Productions.

“Baby John” is set to release in theatres this Christmas (December 25th). The film is produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions. The music is composed by S Thaman.
