The incident occurred on the evening of October 17th, with masked burglars stealing valuables including a World Cup medal, a Christian Dior handbag, and jewelry.
Stokes, who was competing in a Test series in Pakistan at the time, revealed that his wife and two children were at home during the break-in. Although physically unharmed, the family was shaken by the experience. Stokes expressed concern for their emotional and mental well-being, describing the incident as a “terrible experience.”
Durham Police confirmed the arrest and subsequent bail of the suspect. Stokes shared images of the stolen items on social media, raising awareness about the crime and appealing for the safe return of his belongings.
