Yamaha Motor has announced a refreshed Tenere 700 ADV for 2025, introducing three variants: Low, Standard, and Rally. The Low variant targets riders seeking a more accessible riding experience with a lower seat height (860 mm), reduced suspension travel (190 mm), and decreased ground clearance (225 mm).
Across all models, the fuel tank has been repositioned for improved weight distribution, resulting in enhanced balance. The Standard model boasts a new 43 mm USD fork with a forged Aluminium lower clamp and cast Aluminium upper for increased strength. It also features a revamped monoshock with a linkage offering 180 mm of travel and a remote adjuster.
The Tenere 700 ADV now features a larger 6.3-inch vertical TFT screen, mobile connectivity, switchable ABS, a type C charging port, and updated switchgear. While the chassis remains largely unchanged, the motorcycle receives new luggage mounts, an exhaust bracket, 10 mm wider footpegs, and a relocated side stand switch.
Under the hood, the parallel-twin engine gains ride-by-wire technology and two riding modes: Sport and Explorer. It continues to produce 73.4 hp at 9,000 rpm and 68 Nm at 6,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
For those seeking a pure off-road experience, the Tenere 700 Rally emerges as a formidable option. Sporting a heritage blue color scheme, it features a taller 910 mm seat height, lighter footpegs, fully adjustable KYB USD fork with 230 mm of travel, a massive 255 mm ground clearance, and a 4 mm thick Aluminium sump guard. The engine remains identical to the other variants.
With these significant upgrades and the introduction of three distinct variants, Yamaha aims to solidify the Tenere 700 ADV as a versatile and capable motorcycle catering to a wide range of riders and riding styles.
