**Hyderabad, November 2:** The Telangana government is gearing up for grand celebrations of the Karthika month at temples across the state, according to Minister for Endowments, Konda Surekha.
“We have made all arrangements for a grand celebration of the Karthika month in major temples across the state,” the Minister said. “We will be organizing mass Karthika Deepotsavam celebrations, and women devotees attending these events will be gifted free turmeric and kumkum.”
The government is also distributing free blouse pieces to women devotees at major temples, according to the Minister. “We will also be organizing special ‘Naga Harathi’ programs wherever possible,” she added.
The Karthika month is considered auspicious by Hindus and is known for its religious significance. The festival of Karthika Deepotsavam, which marks the end of the month, is particularly celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy across the state.
