**Mumbai, India:** Both Ajay Devgn’s “Singham Again” and Kartik Aaryan’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” have kicked off their Diwali releases with impressive box office numbers. While both films are strong contenders, “Singham Again” currently holds a slight edge, fueled by its star-studded cast, Rohit Shetty’s direction, and a wider screen allocation.
On Day 2, “Singham Again” raked in an estimated ₹41.5 crore, narrowly surpassing “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3″‘s ₹36.50 crore. Over the first two days, “Singham Again” has collected ₹85 crore, compared to “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3″‘s ₹72 crore.
“Singham Again” benefits from its high-octane action sequences, characteristic of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, and the added star power of cameo appearances by Salman Khan and Tiger Shroff. Meanwhile, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” leverages its blend of horror-comedy and nostalgia, featuring the return of Vidya Balan’s iconic Manjulika.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh expressed optimism about both films, stating, “Both films are great. Bhool Bhoolaiyaa 3 is a horror-comedy, while ‘Singham Again’ is a cop drama. Both projects offer different variety of entertainment to the audience. I am happy that both are doing great business so far.”
Exhibitors are hopeful that these franchise films will help them recover some of the losses incurred this festive season. Both films are expected to continue their strong performance, with “Singham Again” holding a slight advantage in screen allocation and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” capitalizing on its family-friendly appeal and nostalgia factor.
