**Jagannadhapuram, Andhra Pradesh:** Janasena Party Chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has announced the formation of the “Narasimha Varahi Brigade,” a dedicated wing within his party aimed at safeguarding Sanatana Dharma.

Kalyan, speaking at the inauguration of the ‘Deepam-2’ free cooking gas cylinder scheme in Jagannadhapuram village, emphasized his commitment to protecting his faith. “I respect all religions, but I stand firm on my own,” he said, adding, “Those who criticize Sanatana Dharma on social media or speak disrespectfully about it will face consequences.”

The announcement comes amidst growing concerns about online abuse and harassment targeting religious communities. The “Narasimha Varahi Brigade” is expected to monitor and respond to such activities, ensuring the protection of Sanatana Dharma.

Kalyan also highlighted the success of the ‘Deepam-2’ scheme, which provides three free gas cylinders annually to over 108 million eligible beneficiaries, amounting to an annual expenditure of Rs 2,684 crore. This initiative, he said, is a testament to the coalition government’s commitment to providing superior welfare services to its citizens.

The Deputy Chief Minister also addressed the issue of violence and abuse against women, emphasizing the government’s unwavering stance against such acts. “Anyone making threats or engaging in harassment against women will face strict action,” he assured.

Kalyan further criticized the YSRCP leadership for continuing to disrespect women on social media, even after their significant defeat in the recent elections. “We are monitoring social media activities and anyone engaging in abusive behavior towards women will face stringent action,” he warned.

The JSP Chief’s visit to Jagannadhapuram also included a visit to the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, a site that holds special significance for him. He pledged to work towards the temple’s comprehensive development and ordered an inquiry into previous unauthorized excavations near the temple, threatening strict action against those responsible.
