Sun Nov 03 11:06:45 UTC 2024: ## Pakistan Embarks on New Era in Australia with White-Ball Tour
**Melbourne, Australia -** Pakistan will begin a new chapter in their cricketing journey with a white-ball tour of Australia, kicking off with the first ODI on November 4th. The Men in Green will be led by new captain Mohammad Rizwan, who replaces Babar Azam, who stepped down after the team’s disappointing World Cup performance.
This tour marks a significant change for Pakistan, who will also be coached by Jason Gillespie, replacing Gary Kirsten. Despite the leadership changes, the team boasts a formidable squad with the likes of Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah.
“I am deeply honored to be appointed as Pakistan’s white-ball captain,” said Rizwan. “Representing Pakistan on the global stage is the greatest privilege and to now be entrusted with leading such a talented and exciting group of players is a tremendous honor.”
Australia will be led by Pat Cummins in the ODI series, while their captain for the T20Is is yet to be announced. The series will conclude in the same week as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy gets underway.
The tour will see three ODIs and three T20Is played across various Australian cities, starting with the MCG in Melbourne and ending at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
Details regarding the live streaming of the series are yet to be released.
Pakistan will be looking to make a strong start under their new leadership and gain momentum ahead of the upcoming ICC World Cup. The tour promises to be a thrilling encounter as both teams aim for victory.
