Sun Nov 03 01:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Clemson Football Secures Commitment from Four-Star Safety Jordan Young

Clemson football has landed a major recruit in four-star safety Jordan Young, who announced his commitment to the Tigers on Saturday. Young, a 6-foot, 180-pound prospect from Monroe, North Carolina, is ranked No. 205 nationally by Rivals.com.

Young chose Clemson over a number of other top programs, including N.C. State, Michigan, and Alabama. Clemson was considered the frontrunner for the first half of the year, but N.C. State gained momentum after his official visit in June.

However, Young’s visit to Clemson’s game against N.C. State, where the Tigers dominated the Wolfpack, solidified his decision.

Clemson safeties coach Mickey Conn played a key role in the recruitment, and Young saw an opportunity to contribute early to the Tigers’ defense. He joins a 2025 class that now boasts 14 verbal commitments, including nine four-star recruits.

Tigerillustrated.com will have more on Young’s recruitment and decision in its Monday Insider.
