**New York City** – Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has joined the ranks of those who have been mistaken for actor Timothée Chalamet. While getting into an Uber in SoHo, Wolfhard was approached by a group who thought he was the Dune star. “He said, ‘Oh, my God. You’re Timothée Chalamet!’ And then I just started laughing with my friends, like, ‘Oh my God, that’s crazy that that just happened,'” Wolfhard recounted to Us Weekly.
The incident comes on the heels of a viral Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest that took over Washington Square Park last weekend. Thousands of fans and Chalamet doppelgängers gathered for the event, which even saw the real Chalamet make a surprise appearance. The event, organized by YouTuber Anthony Po, resulted in a $500 fine for Po due to lack of a permit.
Many participants in the lookalike contest reported being mistaken for both Chalamet and Wolfhard, highlighting the uncanny resemblance between the two actors. Both stars share a similar height, long dark curly hair, and fair complexion.
While Chalamet is a New York City native, Wolfhard is from Canada and is four years younger. Despite these differences, the actors’ similar features continue to cause confusion for fans on the streets.
