**London, England** – South Korean esports giants T1, led by legendary player Faker, have claimed their fifth League of Legends World Championship title after a thrilling victory over China’s Bilibili Gaming (BLG) on Saturday.

The teams battled for nearly four hours at the packed O2 Arena, with the score locked at 2-2 before T1 emerged victorious in the decisive fifth game. BLG started strong, winning the first game, but T1 fought back to level the score. BLG pulled ahead again, but T1 persevered, securing the final win.

Faker, who was awarded the MVP title, was asked what message he would send to his past self from 11 years ago when he first won the championship. His response was simply, “Have fun.”

The 28-year-old, whose real name is Lee Sang-hyeok, is a multi-millionaire esports superstar in South Korea, considered a national treasure. Despite the match starting around midnight in South Korea due to the time difference, hundreds of dedicated T1 fans gathered at LoL Park, an esports venue in Seoul, to cheer on their team. The crowd erupted with cheers when Faker appeared on screen.

“T1 is the most special team because it makes things happen when everyone else says it’s impossible,” said Lee Pari, a T1 fan.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Chinese fans gathered in a Beijing shopping mall for a watch party. Cosplayers dressed as characters from the game posed for photos, and the atmosphere was electric. Cheers filled the room when BLG players appeared on screen, and chants of “BLG! BLG!” echoed through the mall.

In League of Legends, two teams of five players compete to destroy each other’s base, known as the Nexus. T1’s victory marks their second consecutive world championship title, solidifying their status as one of the most dominant teams in the esports world.
