Sun Nov 03 10:24:14 UTC 2024: ## India Out of Title Race, But Still Competing in Hong Kong Super Sixes
Despite suffering consecutive defeats in their opening two matches, India will continue competing in the Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament. Although eliminated from the championship race, they still have a chance to win the ‘Bowl’ competition.
The 12 teams, including hosts Hong Kong, are divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals, while the third-placed teams compete in the ‘Bowl’ competition. India, finishing last in their group, will battle New Zealand, England, and Oman in the ‘Bowl’ competition.
However, they faced an early setback in the ‘Bowl’ after losing to England. England’s Ravi Bopara smashed a 14-ball 53, including six sixes in an over, leading them to a comfortable victory.
India’s remaining ‘Bowl’ matches will see them face New Zealand and Oman on November 3rd. The top two third-placed teams will compete in the ‘Bowl’ final later that day.
While India’s chances of winning the overall tournament are over, they will still be looking to finish the tournament on a high note by winning the ‘Bowl’ competition.
