Sat Nov 02 18:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Kentucky Wildcats Land Top Point Guard Prospect Acaden Lewis

**Lexington, KY** – The Kentucky Wildcats have secured another key piece for their 2025 class, landing 4-star point guard Acaden Lewis. Lewis, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard from Washington, D.C., announced his commitment to Kentucky over Duke and UConn in a ceremony streamed by On3.

Lewis, who is currently ranked No. 32 nationally and the No. 5 point guard in the class of 2025 by 247 Sports, will join fellow 5-star combo guard Jasper Johnson in the Wildcats’ backcourt. His versatility on both ends of the court, including exceptional playmaking and scoring abilities, makes him a perfect fit for Head Coach Mark Pope’s offensive system.

Lewis’ recruitment took off this summer at the NBPA Top 100 camp, where he impressed scouts with his strong handle, effective playmaking, and impressive shooting range. He also demonstrated his defensive prowess with quick lateral movement and strong anticipation.

“Acaden is a special talent and a perfect fit for our program,” said Coach Pope. “He brings a unique blend of scoring, playmaking, and defensive tenacity that will make an immediate impact on our team.”

Lewis joins 4-star center Malachi Moreno in Kentucky’s 2025 class, and the Wildcats are considered the frontrunners for 5-star power forward Caleb Wilson. With this momentum, Kentucky is poised to build a formidable team for the future.

“The commitment from Acaden shows how much Coach Pope and his staff are committed to recruiting at an elite level,” said a Kentucky fan. “The future looks bright for the Wildcats.”

The early National Signing Day takes place from November 13-20, where these three players will officially sign their letters of intent and become Wildcats. They will be the first signees for Coach Pope’s era at Kentucky.
