**New Delhi:** A 17-year-old boy, Sahil, was stabbed after a fight broke out over the bursting of firecrackers outside his home in Delhi on Friday night.

According to police, Sahil was setting off firecrackers when he was confronted by three other residents who also began bursting fireworks. The altercation escalated into a physical fight, during which one of the assailants pulled out a knife and stabbed Sahil.

The injured teenager was rushed to JPC hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Police have registered a case against the accused under sections related to causing hurt by a weapon, wrongful restraint, and common intention. Teams have been deployed to apprehend the suspects. Authorities are also investigating where both parties obtained the firecrackers, as the Delhi government has imposed a complete ban on firecracker use in the city until January 1, 2025.
