Sat Nov 02 15:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Southern California Braces for Cooler Temps, Gusty Winds and Possible Drizzle

**Los Angeles, CA** – Southern California is set for a weekend of cooler temperatures, gusty winds, and a chance of light drizzle, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday and Saturday will see slightly cooler temperatures with highs in the 70s and 80s for the valleys, reaching the low 90s in the warmest areas like the western San Fernando Valley and Inland Empire. Orange County temperatures will range in the upper 70s for inland coastal areas, with highs reaching 83 farther inland. Coastal areas will experience highs in the 60s and low 70s with dense fog blanketing the coast until 9 a.m.

**Significant cooling and wind gusts are expected this weekend**, with the strongest winds anticipated on Monday. Gusts of 40-60 mph are expected throughout the region, reaching 60-70 mph in the mountains. Gale-force winds (35-40 knots) are likely across coastal waters.

**A chance of light drizzle is forecast from Sunday through Tuesday.** Drivers are advised to be cautious due to reduced visibility caused by dense fog and strong winds, especially on highway corridors and mountain passes.

“Remember that dense fog can reduce visibility up to a quarter mile so make sure you give yourself enough space between the cars in front of you and use fog lights,” advises the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s overnight, with a low of 57 degrees at Dodger Stadium.
