Sat Nov 02 15:40:00 UTC 2024: ## College Football Kickoff Times Shifted Due to Severe Weather in Oklahoma
**Norman, OK** – Due to the anticipated severe weather in Oklahoma, two college football games have been moved to earlier times this Saturday.
The University of Oklahoma’s game against the University of Maine, originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET, has been moved to **Noon ET**. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Arizona State Sun Devils game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, has been moved to **3:30 p.m. ET**. The game will be aired on Fox in Arizona and Oklahoma, and FS2 and the Fox Sports App will broadcast the game in other markets.
Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione explained that the decision was made in the interest of safety for fans and participants, with heavy rain and thunderstorms forecasted throughout the weekend. “With Saturday’s forecast calling for afternoon storms, we made the decision to move the game up for the safety of fans and participants,” Castiglione wrote in a statement. “While it’s difficult to know if we’ll experience any game delays due to potential inclement weather, this move increases our chances of avoiding such stoppages.”
The Sooners are looking to snap a three-game losing streak and reach bowl eligibility with a win against Maine. The Cowboys, however, are fighting to avoid a sixth loss in what has been a disappointing season. The Sun Devils, meanwhile, are looking for a win to reach bowl eligibility.
Fans are advised to check with their local TV providers for any changes in broadcast schedules.
