**TIRUCHIRAPPALLI, November 2, 2024:** A 17-year-old boy, T. Divakar, lost his life after being struck by lightning in Musiri, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday afternoon. Divakar was accompanying his father to deliver food at their agricultural field when the incident occurred around 2 p.m. While Divakar succumbed to his injuries, his father sustained burns.

Divakar’s body was sent to the Musiri Government Hospital for postmortem. The tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of lightning strikes, especially during the monsoon season.
