**HYDERABAD**: Residents of Ameenpur area have approached the Hyderabad Commissioner, A.V. Ranganath, alleging fraud and illegal activities, including land grabbing, unauthorized construction, and government land being sold off illegally.

A group of residents claimed that they were tricked into purchasing plots from individuals identified as Madhavar Reddy, Chandrashekhar, and Koteshwara Rao. These individuals allegedly sold them plots belonging to survey number 12 under the guise of survey number 6, showcasing fake permits. The victims demanded that the Commissioner investigate the matter and ensure they receive compensation for the loss they suffered.

Another group of complainants alleged that the government-owned Pedda Cheruvu tank was illegally filled, leading to flooding in their properties. They claimed that the outflow channels leading to the nearby Bandhikunta lake were blocked, resulting in the water flowing towards their homes.

Additionally, residents of Venkataramana Colony in Ameenpur lodged a complaint about the encroachment of a park within their layout, which is sanctioned by the Housing Development Authority (HUDA). They alleged that the park was illegally taken over by individuals constructing a new venture nearby. They urged the Commissioner to conduct a survey and protect the park and roads within their layout.

The victims of the land fraud case claimed that they purchased their plots from Bhawr Lal Jain in 1987, who later sold the park land within their layout to his son, Mahavir Jain, despite it being part of their sanctioned layout.

Commissioner A.V. Ranganath assured the residents that he would investigate the complaints thoroughly and take action to ensure justice is served. He promised a complete survey to determine the legitimacy of all the claims.
