**Guntur, November 2, 2024:** Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar has issued a stern warning against individuals involved in drug-related offenses and rowdy-sheet cases in the Guntur district.
During a review meeting with court constables on Saturday, Mr. Kumar emphasized the need for swift and stringent punishments for these offenders. He highlighted that 150 rowdy-sheeters across the district have pending cases and urged for the expedited trial of these individuals.
The SP also stressed the importance of enforcing the Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act and issuing city banishments where applicable. He instructed officers to prioritize cases involving drugs, illicit liquor, and other NDPS offenses, aiming for swift convictions to act as a deterrent.
Mr. Kumar further advised court constables to collaborate with station SHOs and police teams to gather and present evidence promptly for court hearings. He also suggested utilizing Lok Adalats to resolve cases effectively.
The SP concluded his address by urging constables to maintain integrity and warned that any involvement in illegal activities would lead to severe departmental action.
